If the world were clear, art would not exist.
MY PROJECTS
V I R T U A L S C E N O G R A P H Y
FIRST WORK : "Choose an artwork and a video by Andy Warhol and upload them to your personal website."

RORSCHACH
Andy Warhol
1984
The painting belongs to a set focused on the "inkblot" test invented by the Swiss psychiatrist Hermann Rorschach
to investigate the personality. Warhol invents his own test, painting the side of a canvas and then folding it vertically to impress
the other half. Ironically, Warhol originally misinterpreted the clinical process, believing they were patients to create ink blots, interpreted only later by the doctors themselves.
" I thought that when you went to places like hospitals, they would tell you to draw and do Rorschach tests. "
Because of this misconception, the Warhol series "Rorschach"
it is one of the few in which the artist is not based
on pre-existing images.

SECOND WORK : "Make a 30 second stop motion."

STOP MOTION:
STRIPED
Rachele Ercoli
thu 28 March 2019
The second delivery included the creation of a small
stop motion movie. The short-lived video takes shape
through the animation of colored lines which seem to chase
each other in the background. The texture, first striped, turns
into a tartan thanks to the meeting of the same lines.

THIRD WORK : "Make three animated screenings on the Mad Mapper program (two unpublished and the WORK 2 stop motion)
for the front of the Ex Poste building, lasting 30 seconds each."

FIRST SCREENING
Rachele Ercoli
sat 6 April 2019
In this first animated screening, I decided to play
with abstract graphics on the gray chromatic scale
to recall the colors of the building structure.
I chose not to use color to make the Ex Poste facade
look different from what it looks like in reality.

SECOND SCREENING
Rachele Ercoli
sat 6 April 2019
One of the things I like best when looking at Ex Poste,
was the arrangement of the shutters: long horizontal rows
of these fine vertical elements that cover the windows.
In the second screening, I started from the stylization
of these elements, giving them movement and animation.
According to the concept of the project, all these elements
(both of the first and the second screening) go to the rhythm
of music by Brian Eno (Thursday Afternoon, 61 Minute Version)...
To inspire me this sky full of clouds, like in the music video :
soft and ambient music accompanies both screenings.

THIRD SCREENING
Rachele Ercoli
sat 6 April 2019
The third screening that we had to present to the professor
he had to have as a subject the stop motion of the second delivery: STRIPED. I wanted to put it in a part of Ex Poste left
gray to give it color and movement. The three colored stripes
of the structure are as if they were penetrating the gray concrete area, making it alive and full of color. The striped texture
turns into an animated and continuous tartan.
